Position Overview
Location:
Middletown, CT. Shift: 2nd shift Monday‑Friday 3:12pm‑11:59pm. Role:
Assembly Technician C within Dev Ops Quality/Inspection.
- Assemble wide variety of new technology gas turbine engines following specified procedures, drawings, and computer information systems.
- Prepare parts, build subassemblies, modules, and accessories for new gas turbine engines with established tooling and process methods.
- Assist with engine test operations, component and accessory tests, and provide support for test operations.
- Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to overhaul engines, modules, and related components.
- Obtain parts, check details for conformance, fit and measure components to ensure dimensions within limits.
- Use mechanic’s hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details.
- Maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.
- Assist with co‑producer, customer support, retrofit projects, and new engine programs, accommodating changes in specifications.
- May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within trade specialization.
- Four years of high school education plus four years formal training in a specialized field achieving A&P license or equivalent.
- Or four years of technical high school including technical post‑high‑school certification and five or more years of heavy automotive experience.
- Priority consideration for candidates who are internal Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
