- Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements, specifications, and QMS expectations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, global supply chain, and procurement to address supplier quality constraints and ensure product conformance.
- Train, support, and approve suppliers in meeting self‑release and DQR requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives for quality processes across both internal (PWA) and supplier activities using CORE tools and methodologies.
- Lead and support Product Recall activities, including root cause analysis (8D)/investigations, corrective actions, and escape management to resolve and prevent quality issues.
- Develop, implement, and monitor supplier quality improvement plans and performance metrics, including quality, and responsiveness.
- Apply, maintain, and improve quality control systems, protocols, and process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and contract obligations.
- Identify and manage risk using PPAP core elements (e.g., PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, KPC, MSA) and recommend risk‑mitigation strategies.
- Promote a strong quality culture through adherence to the QMS and Quality Cardinal Rules.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or a closely related industrial environment; or a master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including company and regulatory requirements (AS9100).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and enterprise database systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel to suppliers and other company locations.
- Experience with root cause analysis, process control tools, and CORE methodologies.
- JCL2 certified or willingness to obtain certification.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong presentation, project management, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Proven ability to interface with management, and suppliers.
Salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.
