Position Summary
The HVAC Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, and building owners to drive profitable HVAC & plumbing construction projects. This mid-level role focuses on project-based sales, territory growth, and long-term account management while collaborating with estimating, engineering, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities- Sales & Business Development:
Identify, pursue, and close HVAC and plumbing construction opportunities within an assigned territory. - Develop new contractor and GC relationships while expanding existing accounts.
- Track projects through planning, bidding, and award phases using a CRM software.
- Project & Bid Management:
Support bid and proposal development with estimating and engineering teams; review plans, specifications, and scopes of work; assist with pricing strategy and negotiations. - Relationship Management:
Serve as primary point of contact for customers; build long-term trust with decision-makers. - Cross-Functional Coordination:
Coordinate with project managers and operations for smooth handoff; communicate schedules, scope, and expectations. - Sales Administration:
Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts; meet assigned revenue and margin targets.
- 3–7 years of HVAC or mechanical construction sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and construction workflows.
- Experience with construction drawings and bid processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience selling to mechanical contractors or GCs.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or construction management.
