Job Description

Thriving medical device sales company in Connecticut is seeking a dynamic, experienced, self‑motivated and organized individual for a medical device sales spine representative position to grow with us. Do you have what it takes?

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow existing accounts as well as develop and execute a plan to acquire new accounts and meet sales objectives in the territory.
  • Develop product awareness, providing education to clinicians and raising demand.
  • Work within the operating room, providing technical support during cases to surgeons to allow surgeries to run smoothly.
  • Utilize resources and develop knowledge of surgical products through technical updates, product specialists, management assistance, and clinical applications.
  • Stay abreast of the spinal industry and diligently participate in constant updates and company training.
  • Spend time attending surgeries and calling on physicians’ offices, developing new sources of business, conducting lunch and learns, breakfasts and furthering the company brand and value to our physician partners and their staff.
  • Comfortably call on a variety of medical settings including physician offices, urgent care centers, surgical centers, and government health facilities.
  • Salary $50k & plus commission opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Manage territory responsibilities, including covering cases in hospital operating rooms.
  • Build business by developing surgeon relationships.
  • Prefer a 4‑year college degree and demonstrated successful outside sales experience; special consideration given to candidates with B2B sales experience.
  • Fast learner, not afraid to perform under pressure.
  • Prior knowledge of spine and/or orthopedic procedures is ideal.
  • Proven track record demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work with all types of people.
  • Detail‑oriented, focused, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and willing to work long hours with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs easily.
  • Ability to maintain sustainable inventory levels.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
