Overview
Security Officer position at Middlesex Health in Middletown, CT. This is a full-time on-site role with night shift details (3rd shift) and rotating weekends and holidays. Responsibilities- Patrolling and monitoring hospital grounds, off-sites, and parking lots.
- Emergency response to security incidents.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation as needed.
- Asset protection and safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Collaboration with hospital staff across departments.
- Documentation and reporting of incidents and activities.
- Continuous training and education to maintain high security standards.
- High School diploma, or equivalent. CT State Security Officers required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Reliable transportation – travel to off-sites is required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse individuals.
- Demonstrates good judgment and flexibility in changing circumstances; compassion.
