The State of Connecticut , Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Qualified Craft Worker (HVACR) to join our team.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs highly skilled HVACR work in accordance with trade practices and codes on heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
• Operates, maintains, installs, and repairs complex HVACR systems , including equipment using Freon, chilled water, and advanced air‑handling components.
• Monitors and troubleshoots computerized control systems , ensuring proper airflow, pressurization, and system performance.
• Independently plans and executes work , including estimating materials, determining cooling requirements, and completing technical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Interprets technical data such as psychrometric charts and performs diagnostic tasks including minor fuel tests, gas leak checks, and water treatment adjustments.
