At the State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services (DSS), we are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Social Work Supervisor, within our Social Worker Services Division in the Middletown Resource Center, Middletown, CT.
Position HighlightsThis position is full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week with a schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Your Role As A Social Work Supervisor- Supervise and direct the activities of social workers responsible for the identification, investigation, and intervention of abuse/neglect/exploitation and the assessment, coordination, and quality oversight of services provided to individuals and families.
- Oversee and provide guidance to staff in the development and implementation of protective services and/or other service planning.
- Conduct periodic unit meetings and individual supervision to apprise staff of new and revised policies and procedures, discuss complex cases and workload issues and obtain staff input and feedback.
- Support quality and fiscal management processes.
- Provide administrative support and assistance to management.
- Other related duties.
