Middlesex Supportive Housing Manager

Columbus House, Inc. is seeking a Full Time, FLSA Exempt, Non-Essential Middlesex Supportive Housing Manager. VEVRAA Federal Contractor:

Purpose

With guidance from the Director of Housing Services, the Middlesex Supportive Housing Manager will provide supervision, program management, training, and professional development to staff within their department. The Middlesex Supportive Housing Manager will monitor program outcomes, staff performance, budgets, and data quality, complete required reports, participate in and coordinate with the Meriden/Middlesex/Wallingford and Central Coordinated Access Networks, and represent Columbus House during required meetings and committees.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Supervise Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing Case Managers to ensure they are meeting program and agency expectations and requirements.
  • Hire and train new Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive staff.
  • Review and approve initial and monthly Rapid Rehousing fund requests submitted by staff ensuring all documentation requirements are met.
  • Regularly monitor data quality and program and staff performance.
  • Work with the Director to monitor program budgets and rental assistance funds.
  • Review Permanent Supportive Housing program matches from the Meriden/Middlesex/Wallingford CAN and Central CAN and ensure that accepted clients meet eligibility criteria.
  • Conduct monthly supervision and team meetings with staff.
  • Attend monthly supervision with the Director as well as other required agency meetings.
  • Attend weekly and monthly agency, program, and network meetings as required.
  • Assist staff with conducting landlord outreach and education efforts and develop mutually reinforcing relationships with landlords.
  • Conduct regular chart audits to prepare for funder and internal audits.
  • Expected to complete and review a variety of high-quality documentation (CARF Accredited, Department of Housing, etc.)
  • Experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) or ability to become proficient in database systems.
  • Complete Columbus House, City, State, and Federal reports as required.
  • Set and maintain boundaries and adhere to confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other agencies and social service providers.
  • Understand and accept different backgrounds while providing a non-judgmental approach to rendering services.
  • Provide temporary caseload coverage for vacant positions as determined by program needs.
  • Monitor case managers' facilitation of and participation in monthly tenant meetings.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or other related field required with a minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or management role
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or management role.
  • Other degrees may be considered dependent on experience and knowledge.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
  • Financial literacy
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently or in groups
  • Ability to work with improvement teams and foster teamwork
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered-Planning, Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed and Gender Specific Care and Housing First philosophies and models
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Valid Driver's license with a good driving record

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am- 4:30pm Salary range: $58,656 to $60,000
