Responsibilities- Prepare and review business and individual tax returns from initial client engagement through filing and delivery
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax projections
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding tax matters and planning opportunities
- Maintain and organize tax records and client databases
- Record and review tax-related accounting entries
- Research and apply tax reduction and planning strategies
- Prepare and/or review financial statements
- Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices and inquiries
- Assist clients with ongoing tax compliance and advisory needs
- 2+ years of public accounting experience in a tax-focused role required
- CPA, EA, or licensed tax preparer designation preferred
- Strong understanding of individual and business taxation concepts, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Experience handling federal, state, and local income and payroll tax matters
- Knowledge of Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Ultra Tax and Accounting CS is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and execute consistently in a fast‑paced environment
- Thrive in a cloud‑based, technology‑forward environment
- Build strong relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their businesses
- Take initiative and seek opportunities to contribute beyond assigned responsibilities
- Follow established procedures while helping improve internal processes

- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Be comfortable working additional hours during peak tax seasons based on agreed scheduling commitments
- Payroll and payroll tax knowledge
- Experience with employee benefits-related accounting matters
- Exposure to nonprofit accounting environments
- Strong understanding of fixed assets and depreciation
- General knowledge of internal controls
- Direct exposure to business owners and advisory work
- Broad hands‑on tax experience across multiple industries
- Collaborative team environment with minimal bureaucracy
