You'll partner closely with school professionals and families to tailor educational plans and foster both academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification (or eligibility)
  • Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong skills supporting auditory/oral, manual communication, and total communication approaches
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and effectively advocate for students
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with assistive listening technology and support services
  • Passion for fostering inclusive, equitable educational environments
Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct and consultative instructional support for students with hearing differences
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate individual student needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, goal development, and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Facilitate classroom accommodations, training of staff, and collaboration with families
  • Serve as a resource for peers, assisting with strategies and technology integration
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with educational standards
