About Our State-of-the-Art Emergency Department
Our full-service, free-standing ED offers:
- 22 modern treatment rooms
- 24/7 staffing with board-certified emergency physicians and experienced ED nurses
- Dedicated on-site laboratory with walk-in hours (7:30 a.m.–4 p.m.)
- Comprehensive imaging services
- Care designed to address the most frequent emergency needs with efficiency and compassion
Key Responsibilities
As the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, you will:
Leadership & Operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards
- Prioritize, manage, and delegate leadership responsibilities effectively
- Promote a Relationship-Based Care model across the unit
- Conduct routine leader rounds to support visibility, teamwork, and care quality
Quality, Safety & Practice
- Lead unit-level quality and safety initiatives
- Foster nursing autonomy and professional governance
- Implement innovative leadership strategies to drive clinical excellence
Staffing & Workforce Development
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and PTO allocation based on census needs
- Maintain cost-effective position control
- Interview, hire, and support staff development
- Coach, counsel, and evaluate team members in accordance with policy
- Maintain accurate staff records, including licensure and certifications
Communication & Collaboration
- Hold monthly staff meetings and ensure consistent communication
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and other departments
- Build strong, professional relationships across the organization
Financial Management
- Partner with leadership to develop and manage the unit budget

Requirements
- RN from an accredited nursing program
- BSN and Master’s degree (or BS + MSN)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical and leadership experience
- Professional nursing specialty certification (required)
- Nurse Executive Certification (preferred)
