Responsibilities- Assist the Assistant Vitamin/HBA Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Vitamin/HBA team.
- Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
- Assist in leading a team that delivers high‑quality products, superior service, and the best customer experience.
- Ensure customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and related products to guide customers without “prescribing.”
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the Vitamin team.
- Unload and sort store deliveries.
- Ensure all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations are followed.
- Operate effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- At least 18 years old with a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers.
- Strong communication skills and ability to give and receive direction within a team environment.
- Ability to perform general housekeeping: clean and dust in the department.
- Adherence to all safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations.
- Willingness to learn about new products and alternative health.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. over 4” to 72” and move a ladder requiring up to 5 lbs. force for up to 2 hours.
- Ability to operate a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring up to 35 lbs. force for up to 2 hours and distance up to 20 feet.
- Ability to walk a total up to 3 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
