Design Alternatives is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day jobsite operations for interior renovation projects across central and northern New Jersey. As the key on-site presence, you will be responsible for safety, short-interval planning, trade coordination, and field quality. You’ll keep projects on track by executing “The DA Way,” ensuring every detail aligns with our standards, drawings, and specifications.

- Lead and manage all daily on-site construction activities.
- Enforce safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
- Coordinate subcontractors and manage trade sequencing.
- Execute short-interval planning and provide look-ahead schedules.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes with precision.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and internal teams.
- Provide daily reporting, including photos, logs, and updates.
- Identify and resolve jobsite issues to keep schedules on track.
- Represent the company professionally with clients and vendors.
- Contribute to field training and mentorship, as applicable.
- Required:
- 2–7+ years in a superintendent, foreman, or similar field leadership role
- Strong renovation or commercial construction experience
- Proven ability to manage jobsites independently
- Knowledge of construction sequencing and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs
- Skilled at using basic digital tools (daily logs, photos, schedules)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Preferred:
- Experience with occupied-site or multi-phase renovations
- Exposure to production schedules or look-ahead systems
- Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, Job Tread)
- Interest in mentoring junior field team members
- Base Salary: $72,800–$97,760
- Performance Bonus:
Up to 18% (9% target) - Paid Time Off and Holidays

- 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday (3–4 days on-site travel)
- Hybrid role based in New Jersey, with regular travel to project sites within:
- Monmouth, Middlesex, Union, and Essex counties
- Home base ideally between Holmdel, NJ and Bloomfield, NJ
