Solution Engineer – Telecom OSS / Network
On-site from day 1 in Middletown, NJ. Any Visa will do, and they do not currently have to be local.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Engineer with a strong telecommunications background, combining OSS and network knowledge with hands-on solution design experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with Ethernet and Broadband services and a strong understanding of how telecom services move through the OSS environment—from service/order requirements through inventory, orchestration, provisioning, and activation.
Key Requirements- Strong telecommunications industry experience, preferably working with or supporting telecom service providers/carriers
- Strong OSS (Operations Support Systems) background
- Experience with Ethernet and Broadband services/technologies
- Proven solution design/solution engineering experience within telecom environments
- Understanding of end-to-end service fulfillment and provisioning processes
- Experience with service inventory and/or resource/network inventory
- Experience with service/network orchestration
- Understanding of service provisioning and network activation
- Ability to understand and design end-to-end flows across BSS/Order Management → OSS → Inventory → Orchestration → Network
- Experience developing or contributing to solution architecture, HLD/LLD, interface designs, process/data flows, and integration designs
- Strong understanding of telecom networks and how OSS platforms interact with underlying network systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including network engineering, OSS/BSS, development, operations, and business stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience with TM Forum (TMF) Open APIs is a strong advantage
Experience:
- Candidates with hands-on experience in areas such as Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, fiber/FTTH, GPON/XGS-PON, DOCSIS/HFC, fixed broadband, or other broadband access technologies would be especially relevant.
- Experience with TMF APIs related to ordering, service inventory, resource inventory, catalog, qualification, and activation is beneficial.
