Job DescriptionThe Retail Banker I is a customer liaison integral to delivering TD’s brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking solutions.
Responsibilities- Establish and nurture customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge, listening to customer needs, and engaging in conversations to identify additional needs.
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight product features and benefits.
- Utilize customer relationship management tools for proactive outreach and lead‑focused outbound sales activities.
- Resolve customer issues, errors and problems independently, escalating when necessary.
- Participate in customer outreach, servicing and advice activities to deliver on the brand promise.
- Engage in conversations with customers about loan products, facilitate application intake.
- Maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Perform teller transactions including cashing, deposits, transfers and withdrawals while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to operational policies.
- Advocate for customers, provide resolution, proactive tips, and insights on saving time and money.
- Perform daily retail operations, ensuring compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and other regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of customer interaction or sales experience, or equivalent through volunteering, education or military experience.
- Preferred teller experience and ability to complete teller training upon hire.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills; concise, clear, consistent.
- Ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and within deadlines.
- Sound judgment in decision‑making and effective problem solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Notary license preferred.
