Junior Accountant

Location: Middletown, NY | Type: Full-Time | Salary: $50,000–$55,000

Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare account and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close and journal entries
• Support billing, cash applications, and payment processing
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and general accounting tasks
• Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 0–2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
