Position Summary

The Assistant Toddler Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, structured, and developmentally appropriate classroom for toddlers. This role is ideal for a caring, dependable educator who enjoys working with young children and is eager to grow professionally in early childhood education.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent (required)

* Coursework in Early Childhood Education, CDA (in progress or completed), or prior toddler classroom experience (preferred)

* Experience working with toddlers or young children at least 2 years

* Ability to meet state licensing and TLE requirements

* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities

* Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

* Assist with daily routines including diapering, potty training, meals, nap time, and transitions

* Actively engage with children through play, conversation, and positive guidance

* Observe children's behavior and development and share insights with the Lead Teacher

* Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations

* Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and team members

* Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
