Restoration Technician (Mid-Level)
Job Title
Restoration Technician (Mid-Level)
About Us
Puro Clean of Central Orange is a restoration firm dedicated to water, fire, mold, and biohazard mitigation. We pride ourselves on a structured career path and in-depth technical training. If you have 1+ years of restoration/mitigation experience and at least one IICRC certification (e.g., WRT), this Mid-Level Technician role might be the perfect fit.
Position Overview
As a Mid-Level Restoration Technician, you’ll handle most job tasks with minimal supervision—setting up equipment, documenting daily progress, and guiding junior staff on simpler tasks. You’ll often work on water extractions, mold remediation, fire/smoke cleaning, and keep accurate logs for job scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced tasks like water extraction, moisture mapping, and basic mold/fire scenarios.
- Document job progress daily (moisture readings, photos, logs) using PDFs or Matterport scans.
- Mentor entry-level or apprentice team members, though no formal supervisory authority.
- Maintain safety standards and communicate effectively with homeowners or business owners when needed.
- 1+ Year of restoration or related experience (preferred).
- IICRC Certification: WRT strongly desired (FSRT or ASD a plus).
- Physical Capacity:
Able to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk throughout the day, and wear PPE. - Pay Range: $20–$24/hr, aligned with mid-level skill and partial certs.
- Hourly Rate: $20–$24/hr depending on experience and certifications.
- Growth Opportunities:
Potential raise or path to Lead Tech ($25–$30/hr) if you obtain advanced certs (AMRT, ASD) and demonstrate leadership. - Training Sponsorship:
We may sponsor IICRC courses for further professional development, subject to cost-recovery policies. - Other Benefits: PTO, sick leave, plus a supportive, team-driven environment.
- Hands-On Autonomy:
Tackle mid-level tasks with minimal oversight. - Skill Development:
Strengthen your credentials (FSRT, ASD, AMRT) as you grow. - Team Culture:
Collaborate with a dedicated group that values initiative and clear communication. - Community Impact:
Help families and businesses bounce back from crises and disasters.
