The Learning Experience (TLE) of Middletown is a premier early childhood education center dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that prepares children for kindergarten success. Our preschool program focuses on whole-child development through structured learning, play, and positive relationships.

Position Summary

We are seeking a confident, knowledgeable, and passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to lead a preschool classroom. The Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, managing the classroom environment, mentoring assistant teachers, and fostering strong partnerships with families. This role requires a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to professional growth.

Education Requirement (Mandatory)
  • Must be currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program
  • Must have already completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Additional Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading or co-leading a preschool classroom
  • Strong understanding of preschool development and kindergarten readiness skills
  • Ability to meet state licensing and TLE requirements
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a preschool classroom in alignment with TLE standards and state regulations
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
  • Create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
  • Supervise, mentor, and support assistant teachers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
  • Build strong, professional relationships with families through regular communication
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
