Data Collection Specialist

Job Code: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Base Pay: $18.00-$21.00/hour

Hours: 6:30a-2:30p or 10a-6p

Works one on one with students to collect IEP data and report results for progress reports and IEP updates while tracking time for billing. May be part of parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings as needed. ODE Instructional Aide license required, Intervention Specialist license preferred.

• Work individually with ALC students to work on IEP goals and measure progress. This work primarily happens in the classroom but may occasionally require pulling out for 1:1 work.
• Collect, document, and report objective data regarding student progress toward established IEP goals, including observations of challenges, areas of growth, and opportunities for additional support, to the Intervention Specialist and educational team.
• Work with classroom teachers to support and maintain classroom dynamics, schedules, transitions, etc.
• Collaborate with the Pediatric Therapies team for scheduling and support strategies.
• Communicate student-related concerns, observations, and collected data to the Intervention Specialist, classroom teachers, program leadership, and appropriate support team members when challenges arise.
• Provide appropriate reporting to families via Brightwheel and progress reports.
• Track and report time spent with each student for billing via Brightwheel.
  
  Use engaging strategies to help students engage in the goal.
• Use engaging, age-appropriate strategies to support student participation and engagement in activities related to established goals and classroom programming.
• Work collaboratively with staff and families to implement supportive strategies and communicate observations regarding student response and progress to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided and progress made.
• Provide classroom fill-in support when ALC staffing requires help, as directed by supervisor.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with all stakeholders, focusing on exceeding customer expectations of the services provided.
• Actively participates in meetings and committees to promote continuous improvement and Abilities First community image.
• Performs other duties deemed necessary by Supervisor or leadership.

• Understand IEP’s – Have a working knowledge of the IEP process, how to read and work with student goals, and the reporting process.

• Minimum of an associate’s degree and ODE Instructional Aide License required. Intervention Specialist license preferred.
• 3 years of experience working with children with Autism or IEP support.
• Understanding of the IEP process from start to finish.
• Must be 18 years or older
• Eligible to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background test

• Must be able to supervise a group of children unassisted for several hours as well as work 1:1 with a child.
• Desires to be a participating member of an organization, which values employee involvement and diversity.
• Lifting and positioning children weighing up to 70 pounds unassisted.
