Job DescriptionAs an Associate Hardware Development Engineer at Rockwell Automation, you will join a collaborative team developing advanced automation control systems. You'll contribute to all stages of hardware product development—from sub‑circuit design and integration to functional analysis and regulatory compliance—while building key technical skills in a supportive environment. YourResponsibilities
- Collaborate with an agile team to design and develop new industrial automation products, including overall architecture and hardware verification.
- Perform programming, functional analysis, and hands‑on troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes.
- Prepare product test plans, design documentation and test reports.
- Contribute to technical initiatives such as researching new technologies, implementing new circuit design tools, and troubleshooting failures.
- Work with technical peers to implement test automation and design simulation solutions.
- Build relationships across teams to deepen understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

- Typically requires no previous professional experience
- May have experience in an entry‑level hardware role, or co‑op or internships
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
- Basic knowledge of using design capture tools, able to read schematics. Working knowledge of circuit theory and operation.
- Hands‑on experience with hardware test equipment, including debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Experience with microprocessors, digital logic devices, analog and/or DC‑power conversion, programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs).
- Programming experience in Python/Ladder and/or C++ with a passion for outside‑the‑box thinking to leverage these tools in automated applications
- Knowledge of industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers
- Experience in performing product certification testing, such as testing to meet CE and IEC 61010
