Senior Manager, Engineering

Overview

JBT Marel is a global leader in food and beverage technology. The Senior Engineering Manager acts as the technical link across functions within the Avure organization, overseeing design, development, and improvement of High Pressure (HPP) machinery for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industry.

• Oversee and lead engineers designing pressure vessels, controls, and frames for HPP equipment.
• Provide technical guidance, solutions, and support for complex problems across Workshop, Wire winding, Assembly, Procurement, and Customer Care.
• Improve quality and warranty performance and drive cost reduction through RCI and VA/VE activities.
• Manage knowledge transfer within the engineering team and ensure implementation of competencies organization‑wide.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering and supporting staff.
• Guide design reviews of engineering solutions and establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance internal and external total quality.
• Support sales, service teams, and customers to achieve company goals.
• Utilize project management and product development tools to increase efficiency.
• Generate intellectual property and high‑value features while benchmarking competitors to maximize margin and market share.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (required).
• MS or MBA preferred.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, or PMP® are desirable.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in the design of capital or industrial equipment.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Solid Works/Ansys preferred.
• Experience with metallic materials and ASME BP&V Code advantageous.

• Estimated annual salary range: $130,000 – $175,000.
• Bonus component included.

Position is onsite with up to 20% travel.
