Ultrasound Technologist-Single Registry
Independently performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and ultrasound directed interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Ultrasound Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
May have on call responsibilities.

Ultrasonography.
Licensure/Certification /Registration:
Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following (required):
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Vascular Credentialed by one of the following (required): ARDMS
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI (RVS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Registered Vascular Specialist. Vascular registry is required at time of hire except at the following locations, where it must be obtained no later than 6 months after hire, AMC, MVH, MVHS, MVHN, and UVMC main campuses. Minimum of one additional registry in practiced specialties are required as approved by ARDMS:
Abdomen, OB/GYN, muscular skeletal, Neurosonology, Breast or Vascular. CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
Experience Minimum Level of Experience
Required:
No prior job-related work experience.
Preferred experience:
6 to 12 months of clinical experience in Ultrasound. Other experience requirements: N/A. Knowledge/Skills Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and obtaining diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage. Advanced US applications.
