Job Summary:

Coordinates all human resources activities. Administrates employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits administration, training and all other human resources services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Helps to administer various human resources plans, policies and procedures.
  • Assists plant activities related to Human Resources issues with plant managers, production planning, engineering and various support department managers.
  • Follows compensation program; rewrites job descriptions, conducts compensation surveys, administrates performance review program, administrates salary bonus program.
  • Must maintain a continuous program of employee performance management to provide information to management
  • Implements personnel policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook policies where applicable.
  • Administers, maintains and oversees benefits administration to include all company benefits, claims resolutions, change reporting and re-evaluation of policies regarding cost effectiveness, information activities programs and other issues.
  • Maintains compliance to all federal rules and regulations including: EEOC, AAP, DOL Wage and Hour, FMLA, etc.
  • Coordinates the recruitment function for a location the organization for both hourly and salary positions. This includes temporary, part time and contract consultants. Oversees, new hire procedures, testing, selection, orientation and on-boarding activities. Assists in employee relations counseling, exit interviews and termination processing.
  • Maintains departmental updates, reporting and records. Participates in departmental meetings and attends other meetings as required.
  • Coordinates with the plant managers in procedure changes in personnel, benefits, disciplinary and termination practices.
  • Has a working relationship with legal counsel to ensure that policies, procedures, reports, letters, actions, decisions and responses comply with Federal and State laws.
  • Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement activities, projects and programs.
  • Resolves technical, personnel and labor relations questions raised by various department superintendents and managers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of three to five years in related experience.

Ability to graphically display charts or other representative materials to evaluate and measure program success.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, established programs, etc.
