We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to produce precise parts.
- Write or modify CNC programs using CAM software and verify code accuracy through simulation.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform adjustments as needed for continuous operation.
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures; set up tooling with hand tools and power tools for various machining tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve machining processes, reduce waste, and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical principles.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply GD&T tolerances effectively.
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances; experience with Solid Works or CAD software is advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and forklift operation preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
