Job Summary
Responsible for following manufacturing instructions to perform production and shipping related duties to ensure on‑time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
Job DescriptionOperates production equipment in a manner consistent with training and work instructions to ensure safety and the highest level of product quality. Prepares mixing vessels, necessary pumps and hoses for unloading. Inspects all containers prior to filling for cleanliness and integrity. Fills containers as prescribed in the associated batch ticket, pick ticket, and export order sheet and prepares containers for shipment including labelling, palletising and wrapping and completes work orders in JDE.
Maintains neat, thorough and correct completion of all batch related documentation. Calculates batch yields and responds appropriately. Stores and stages inventory in assigned areas for batch preparation, further processing and/or shipping. Assists in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts, makes inventory transfers in JDE. Loads and unloads box trucks and flat‑beds, tanker trucks and rail cars, either manually or using proper material handling equipment.
Loads containerised and bulk raw materials to production vessels. Completes shipping responsibilities including: receives POs in JDE, ships items in JDE, communicates late shipments to OTC group, prepares UPS and Fed Ex shipments and calls trucks for shipment. Maintains a clean and organised work area and strictly adheres to all plant safety policies. Provides immediate containment, reporting and clean‑up/recovery of spilled material or leaks.
Operates all types of forklifts and other related motorised vehicles in a safe and proficient manner. Holds team members accountable for safety and quality procedures. Routinely participates in site safety committee. Assists in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may vary by work location.
To be responsible for the correct execution of activities of the plant following the different processes and instructions and complying with the established indications/norms. Ensure proper labelling and packaging of the different finished products according to processes and instructions. Collect samples of the products to be analysed in the laboratory. Responsible for the order, cleanliness and correct use and maintenance of the equipment.
Handle forklifts. Segregate waste in accordance with established procedures. Apply and comply with safety regulations and instructions. Highlight any potential health and safety or accident issues to the Production Supervisor or Manager. Teamwork, promoting a good atmosphere and through actions that generate added value and when required support in other areas.
