Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for executing shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. It also includes light production duties to support on‑time production and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Safely load and unload trucks, tankers, and trailers.
- Transport finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Generate and print labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) from the WERCS software system.
- Support inventory management by assisting with material tracking and performing inventory counts.
- Organize and retrieve raw materials, finished goods, and supplies from warehouse storage locations.
- Respond promptly to spills following clean up procedures.
- Prepare drums and bins for shipment.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping tasks.
- Inspect drums, bins, and containers for shipment.
- Communicate shipment delays to Customer Care and coordinate timely resolution.
- Schedule carrier pickups and confirm transportation arrangements for outbound shipments.
- Create BOL for shipments.
- Confirm paperwork is complete for all shipments and correct when needed.
- Load containerized and bulk raw materials to production vessels.
- Operate production equipment.
- Draw off product into drums, pails and totes.
The duties of this job are normally performed in a warehouse environment; occasionally required to walk through and perform tasks in a plant production. Must wear required PPE for the areas you are working in. Safety is a top priority at Quaker Houghton. All operators receive extensive on‑the‑job training during the first three months of employment.
Qualifications- High school diploma.
- Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- 1–2 years of related chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
- Tow motor certification.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- $1,500 sign‑on bonus.
