Job SummaryThe warehouse associate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, put‑away, relocate, and stack items in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Warehouse Associates conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times with employees and outside services.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Work in a warehouse environment: order selecting, picking, product storage, and product staging.
- Use racking systems and load/unload pallets, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically.
- Collaborate in a team environment and solve problems jointly.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Read production work orders, customer orders, and purchase orders to determine items to be moved or picked.
- Operate forklift safely, observing all safety rules, using the horn, and maintaining proper speeds.
- Follow directions from supervision or leads.
- Prioritize tasks and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
- Receive raw materials, validate receipts against packing slips using the ERP system, placard each skid, and put away items into storage locations.
- Rotate stock in accordance with FIFO (First In/First Out) procedures.
- Combine, count, and mark partial items properly.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by correctly completing put‑away, storage, and handling of finished goods and raw materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Possess preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have previous forklift experience (1 year preferred).
- Successfully complete the internal forklift training program.
- Detail oriented with strong organization and time‑management skills.
- Adaptable and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willing to train in other areas of the plant.
- Available to work overtime on short notice, including weekends, evenings, or holidays.
- None.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Operate forklift or mechanical equipment 95% of the workday.
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Typical manufacturing area; hearing protection required due to high noise levels.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures depending on season and area; limited temperature regulation is available.
- Presence of complex machinery and equipment; requires awareness of moving parts and operational hazards.
