Operations Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Job Summary
Barrett Paving Materials is looking for a driven and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our production operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and team development. In this role, you'll oversee daily plant operations, optimize processes, and guide a skilled team to deliver high-quality materials that support critical infrastructure projects. MainResponsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to‑day manufacturing and plant operations
- Ensure a strong commitment to safety‑first practices and regulatory compliance
- Oversee production scheduling to meet customer demand and operational goals
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of operators and plant personnel
- Manage budgets, production metrics, and operational reporting
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met
- Partner with leadership to implement strategic operational improvements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or plant operations management
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments
- Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions
- Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus
- Familiarity with construction materials, asphalt, or paving operations is beneficial
- Ability to work in an industrial/plant environment, including exposure to weather and varying temperatures
- Standing, walking, and occasional lifting may be required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended hours during peak season
