Laser Operator Assistant (1st Shift)
Location:
Middletown, Ohio
Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 / hour
Shift: 1st Shift | 6AM – 3PM or 7AM-4PM | Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the primary Laser Operator in the daily setup, operation, and monitoring of CNC laser cutting equipment.
- Safely load raw sheet metal onto the machines and unload finished components.
- Sort, stack, tag, and palletize cut metal parts for the next phase of production.
- Perform deburring, grinding, and edge-smoothing on freshly cut metal parts.
- Use basic measuring tools to conduct routine quality control checks on finished materials.
- Operate overhead cranes or forklifts to move materials (full safety training provided).
- Empty scrap bins and meticulously maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
- Assist with preventative machine maintenance and routine troubleshooting as directed.
Skills & Requirements:
- A highly adaptable, team-first attitude and an eagerness to learn new skills.
- Zero to little manufacturing experience required—we will train the right attitude!
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to accurately read a standard tape measure.
- Physical stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Excellent track record of reliability, attendance, and punctuality.
- Commitment to following all facility safety guidelines and procedures.
- Steel-toed boots required (other PPE will be provided by the client).
