SummaryThe Supervisor, LPN/LVN manages LPN/LVN staff and oversees medication administration, physical exams, treatment provision, and medical appointment scheduling in collaboration with a Registered Nurse.
Essential Job Functions- Manages direct care staff, coordinates work assignments, and evaluates performance.
- Monitors the health and medical condition of individuals served, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Supervises medication administration according to established guidelines and maintains documentation.
- Provides treatment and/or health care procedures as specified by physician orders or team decisions.
- Refers individuals for appropriate medical services, schedules appointments, and attends physician/medical appointments to promote positive outcomes.
- Assists with quarterly and annual physicals, monitors weight changes, and regularly updates medical records.
- Maintains contact with families, informing them of medical condition, nutritional needs, medications, and related information.
- Completes medication delivery intake from the pharmacy, receiving medications and comparing them to physician orders and medication administration records.
- Monitors budgets for assigned areas, manages activities to meet financial goals, tracks budget variances, and implements corrective action plans as needed.
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Directs and supervises assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and resolves employee problems within the scope of responsibilities.
Education and Experience- LPN license and Associate’s degree from a two‑year college or technical school.
- Two years of related experience.
- Current Licensed Vocational Nursing License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Travel as needed.
- Heavy work including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
