American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Step Down/PCU unit requiring OH or compact RN license and telemetry/EKG competency.

• Progressive Care/Step Down unit setting
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• 13 or 18 week winter contract options available
• EPIC EMR required
• Floating required, with traveler prioritized first to float within specialty cluster or to support High Risk Respiratory/COVID units
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday

• Active OH or compact RN license required (license in hand not required to apply, but must be obtained before contract start)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass an online EKG/Telemetry competency assessment prior to starting assignment
• Epic charting experience required
• Candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted
• Charge nurse experience preferred

• Care for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia monitoring, and step down level care
• Skills utilized include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC), and cardiac drip management
• May float to other units or nearby facilities based on skill set and census needs
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract; no schedule requests negotiated after offer
• Local candidates not accepted within 50-mile radius
• Previous PERM/PRN or agency staff not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying as a traveler, pending facility rehire approval
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
