To maintain and improve Phillips Tube Group’s Middletown Quality Management System in an efficient, customer driven manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and engage employees in an effective manner to maximize performance and workplace safety in accordance with company guidelines, policies, work rules and collective bargaining agreements.
- Communicate to Union the Company requirements and changes in a “teamwork” atmosphere.
- Resolve Union related issues both fairly and justly with production requirements taking precedent in all matters except safety.
- Handle issues of poor production and performance as quickly as possible to keep work force on a smooth track with expectations clearly defined.
- Maintain and continuously improve Quality Management System.
Facilitate necessary training sessions to implement new or modified Quality System procedures. - Empower audit team to keep system in compliance and ensure that we “Do what we say we are going to do”.
- Assist in process and procedure revisions.
- Maintain and improve the use of Statistical Process Control
- Complete status reports for the management team. Provide extensive analysis quarterly basis, including PPM levels for all customers, footage loss, money loss, as well as comp0arison reports from previous annual and quarterly results.
- Be an ambassador for customers while assisting the management team in improving processes.
- Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection Plans, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Man-hours are used efficiently and overtime is kept to a minimum.
- Management of Quality Inspection and Calibration equipment.
- Ensure that the Quality Management System is maintained successfully.
- Non-conforming and secondary areas are minimal and well organized. Material is dispositioned in a timely manner.
- Assist Purchasing Agent in filing Material Discrepancy reports and requests for Corrective Action to suppliers.
- LMA, Lead, Manage and drive accountability
- Customer Response Time
- Audits Production & Processes to QM
- Rapid Correction/Prevention of Customer Issues
- COPQ
Quality Department Staff, Quality Administrators and Inspectors
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Relevant experience and/or training thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Statistical Process Control. Basic knowledge of Metrology and geometric tolerance and dimensioning. Knowledge of material strengths, properties and testing methods. Customer Service and Employee Management experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from management.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate amounts of percentages.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and provide a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
