Delivery Associate

Compensation Pay Range: $11.00 - $17.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums, varying based on schedule, facility, season, or the specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Delivery Associate is responsible for safely and efficiently operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to our esteemed professional customers. This position will also handle cash on delivery (C.O.D.) transactions and manage customer returns.

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers.
• Utilize delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and conduct daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of vehicles; complete daily inspections prior to operation.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected funds at all times.
• Manage customer return pickups, including warranty and core returns, and complete necessary documentation.
• Communicate any customer issues or special needs to store management effectively.
• Promptly report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages to the store manager.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and securely locked at the end of each day.
• Follow company policies for clocking in/out.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, general stocking, merchandising, and running errands.
• May assist with customer service, cashiering, and merchandising as needed when the flow of business requires it.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required:

• Able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Must have a driving record that meets company standards and hold a legally required state driver’s license.

Desired:

• Knowledge of automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.
