This position will be part of the DIGITAL DATA NETWORKS BUSINESS UNIT--delivers high-performance connectivity solutions that power the backbone of modern digital infrastructure. Specializing in data centers, cloud computing, and edge networks.

Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, you'll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Digital Data Networks Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:

  • Performing mechanical design with Computer Aided Design and Finite Element Analysis
  • Coordinating with the machine shop, additive manufacturing lab, and test lab to validate designs
  • Coordinate and perform mechanical product testing

Responsibilities

At TE Connectivity, you'll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you'll:

  • Work closely with experienced engineers on connector related projects
  • Gain exposure to manufacturing processes such as stamping, forming, plating, molding, machining, and additive manufacturing.
  • Gain insight into the world of connector development.

You're the kind of person we are looking for if you:

  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED
  • Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS or MA/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university-or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
  • Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 - 45.04/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
