Quality Engineering Intern
Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Quality Engineering Intern based in our Middletown, PA facility for Fall 2026. This on-site, part-time position is projected to begin in late August or early September 2026 and requires the ideal candidate to be located within the general area. Kick-start your career in Quality Engineering with a role designed for learning and growth.
You'll gain hands-on experience supporting quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, audit readiness, and continuous improvement projects while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your development.
What will you do:
- Support quality data collection and analysis, including defect trend reporting and root cause investigations.
- Assist with internal audit preparation, documentation updates, and quality system compliance activities.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma projects designed to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and tools.
- Conduct inspections and testing activities to help ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Contribute to quality documentation, reporting, and training material development.
- Develop and implement digital tools that provide clear, actionable insights from quality and operational data.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that drive product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What qualifications will make you successful:
- Genuine interest in quality engineering, manufacturing, and continuous improvement with a desire to learn and grow.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing at an accredited college or university.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Team-oriented approach and comfort working under guidance and supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.
- Interest in Lean, Six Sigma, quality systems, and process improvement methodologies is preferred.
