Summary

Perform a variety of material handling duties and responsibilities to ensure the consistent flow of materials throughout the donated goods and retail division.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in general warehouse operations by performing assigned duties in warehouse, post- consumer sorting of commodities, outlet rotation and tipping.

* Accurately completes paperwork including but not limited to:
Truck manifest forms, powered industrial equipment inspections, SAP scanning.

* Maintains a clean and organized work area that is cleaned of dust, debris, loose clothing and any hazards during and at the end of each shift.

* Receives goods from the general public; to include, but not be limited to:
Greets and assists donors by providing information; unloads donations; offers and provides receipts, determines what is acceptable according to criteria; rejects unusable items tactfully; as per training, provides tax information per guidelines; maintains excellent public relations at all times; sorts donations into proper containers and removes trash; completes all necessary paperwork such as daily donor logs, donor receipts, etc.; keeps donation site clear and clean at all times.

* Presents an appropriate appearance and good customer service to the general public and coworkers.

* Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.

* Communicates progress, concerns and issues to Distribution Center Supervisor n a timely manner.
