The Preschool Pre-K Special Educator provides specialized educational services to children with disabilities in an early childhood setting to meet the developmental learning needs of these children. Essential duties include complying with all school board policies and state laws, maintaining confidentiality, employing special educational strategies, developing individualized education programs (IEPs), establishing rules for behavior, meeting with parents, conferring with professionals to develop IEPs, maintaining accurate records, establishing clear objectives, providing crisis intervention, assisting in data collection, serving on multidisciplinary teams, continuing professional development, and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements- Valid R.I. Teaching Certification – Early Childhood Education
- Valid R.I. Teaching Certification – Early Childhood Special Education
- Master's degree preferred
- Documentation of a clear BCI/FBI report
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
