Middletown, RI |
Contract:
1st Shift, 5/40 | Pay Rate: $69.89/hr | Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401k
- U.S. citizenship
- Active/Current DoD Confidential Personnel Clearance (PCL) required
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience; an advanced degree may substitute for additional years of experience
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and willingness to work in a lab environment
- Perform instrumentation planning and conduct all hardware tests, including vibration, mechanical shock, temperature, altitude, humidity and structural testing
- Acquire and analyze dynamic and thermal data
- Coordinate test fixture design
- Work independently and take ownership of program/project to achieve schedule, financial and technical goals
- Prepare test plans, schedules, test reports and technical documentation
- Collaborate with design engineering, structural analysis personnel, manufacturing engineering and commercial customers
- Provide technical expertise to programs as needed
- Provide factory and supplier testing support domestically and internationally
- Generate detailed archival technical reports
- Travel to test sites for support of testing or design discussion (as required)
- Travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers and government facilities
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred but not required
- Experience in hardware and environmental testing (dynamic shock/vibration, climatic, structural)
- Experience in signal processing, data acquisition, field test instrumentation or structural testing
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and independently
- Experience with solid modeling CAD tools such as CREO or equivalent
- Experience with Matlab
- Experience presenting to external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Willingness and ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities
