JOB LOCATION: MIDDLETOWN, RI
WAGE RANGE*: PER HOUR

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to work in a lab environment
- Perform instrumentation planning and test conduct of all Hardware Tests including vibration, mechanical shock, temperature, altitude, humidity, and structural testing
- Dynamic and thermal data acquisition and analysis
- Provide test fixture design coordination
- Work independently and take ownership of program/project to achieve schedule, financial, and technical goals
- Prepare test plans, schedules, test reports, and technical documentation of project work assigned
- Work directly with design engineering, structural analysis personnel, manufacturing engineering, and commercial customers
- Provide technical expertise to programs as needed
- Factory and supplier testing support domestically and internationally
- Generate detailed, archival technical reports
- Travel to test sites to support test or design discussion (depending on work assignment)
- Willingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Experience in Hardware and Environmental Testing (i.e. Dynamic Shock/Vibration, Climatic, Structural)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Signal processing, data acquisition, field test instrumentation, or structural testing - Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment and independently
- Experience with solid modeling CAD tool such as CREO or equivalent
- Experience with Matlab
- Experience presenting to external customers
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to travel to government and other facilities in support of program activities
