SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified System Engineer III
.
Job Summary: SEACORP's Imaging Business Area has an immediate opening for System Engineers with knowledge of US NAVY Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) for Imaging and/or EW systems. This person will be responsible for various aspectsof the system.
JobResponsibilities Include:
- Develop and review Technical Data Packages for system and subsystem components including Special Support Equipment (SSE).
- Perform and present various analysis to include performance and failure analysis ofsystem components.
- Collect and assess technical data associated with Technical Insertions of NEWCON,Modernization’s and TEMPALTs’ for obsolescence and diminishing material.
- Provide technical support and repair for EW and Imaging Systems and components viaremote support from NUWCDIVNPT and/or on-site platform support.
- Assess current system capabilities against current and near-term needs and provide technical recommendations to resolve gaps by evaluating and resolving system failure reports, obsolescence and material support issues, and other inputs from the Fleet
- Develop program status reports such as technical assessments, risk assessments,technical recommendations, or technical information
- Knowledge of and experience with AN/BVY-1(V) (various classes) Imaging systems a plus.
- Maintain and distribute various tracking tools in support of NUWC’s Installation activities associated with on-going availabilities for all classes of submarines.

- Ideal candidate should have knowledge of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) and Engineering Change Instructions (ECI’s) as they relate to the Submarine Imaging systems/Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and performance of necessarymaintenance, test, repair, modification, and updating of shipboard equipment and components per GFI drawings as called out in the ECP/ECI’s.
- The ideal candidate is expected to be able to familiarize themselves with all Imaging system hardware including understanding commonality between the various systems.
Education: Bachelor'sdegree in an Engineering Discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, etc.)preferred, will consider a BS in STEM fields with sufficient direct Engineering Experience. In lieu of a degree, candidates with significant, demonstrated experience operating DoD Electronic warfare, Imaging and/or Radar systems (especially Navyand Submarine specific equipment) will be strongly considered.
Experience: 7 years of experience.
Required Experience:- Experience and knowledge associated with ME functions related to design, troubleshooting, analysis, reporting, and/or testing of complex systems
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite;
Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar; VISIO orsimilar engineering-oriented documentation applications is a plus. - Previous experience in operating, maintaining, or engineering/engineering support of the following systems is highly desired
- AN/BLQ-10 Electronic Warfare System and Early Warning Receiver
- Operating and maintaining
Imaging Systems such as ISIS, Type 8/18 Periscopes, Photonics Masts, etc. - Detection processing,tracking algorithms, and common ARPA functions
- Experience in Environmental Qualification and Survivability (e.g. Shock,Vibration, temperature, flooding/moisture vulnerability testing) of shipboard and land-based militarized and commercial-grade Combat Systems components.
