WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES)
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Manage and bill all federal, state, and private grants.
  • Ensure allowable cost compliance, time & effort documentation, and procurement standards under Uniform Guidance.
  • Monitor grant burn rates and proactively advise on spending adjustments.
  • Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate tracking of funds and adherence to grant requirements.
  • Work with Billing Manager on monthly Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial billing to ensure accuracy and compliance with CCBHC billing models.
  • Monitor reimbursement trends, payer mix, and revenue cycle KPIs.
  • Prepare finance CCBHC cost reporting.
  • Serve as the primary contact for annual audits, including Single Audit.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and CCBHC certification standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry’s best practices.
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with VP of Finance and executive leadership.
  • Provide training and support for staff on financial systems and processes.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Encourage professional development and continuous improvement among team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and supports organizational goals.
  • Communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in a management role, preferably in behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Familiarity with CCBHC financial requirements, Medicaid billing, and cost reporting.
  • Experience managing federal grants, Single Audits and multi-fund grant environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting (FASB).
  • Proficiency with complex accounting systems Blackbaud, MIP, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, grant-funded environment.
