SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Administrator II
.
SEACORP's Platforms Business Area has an immediate need for a full-time System Administrator professional with a Secret clearance based at our Middletown, Rhode Island site. The selected applicant will perform work to assist with the management of DoD systems. While these positions will mostly have regular business hours, some travel will be required.
Responsibilities- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Administer server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and perform systems monitoring.
- Potential to consult on network, and application issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability.
Education
:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field including but not limited to Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, is preferred. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and 6 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service aboard a naval ship) with an additional 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Experience
:
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, preferably in IT.
- A current Windows Administration certification is preferred. Successful completion of training in Windows Administration will be required within the first 6 months of hire.
- Candidates must meet baseline eligibility for Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) at the DoD 8570-M Information Assurance Manager, Level I (IAT-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 451. Examples of industry certification meeting this requirement include CompTIA A+ (ce), Network+ (ce). CompTIA Security+ (ce) is a plus.
- Experience with DoD Cybersecurity, System Engineering, and/or Test & Evaluation processes is desired.
- Understanding of the application of policy, process, and technical controls.
- Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), System Engineering process, Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes and the NIST 800 series, and other DoD requirements.
- Experience with the implementation of security controls, STIG application, and scanning on current Linux and/or Windows versions is necessary.
