Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
SEACORP is seeking a Machinist for our Electronic Warfare division at our Middletown, RI headquarters. The Machinist will be responsible for interpreting written instructions and specifications and engineering drawings; planning and laying out of work; using a variety of machinist's tools and precision measuring instruments; setting up and operating standard machine tools; shaping of metal parts to close tolerances; making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds of machining;
knowledge of the working properties of the common metals; selecting standard materials, parts, and equipment required for this work; and fitting and assembling parts into mechanical equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produces replacement parts and new parts.
- Setup and run manual milling machines and engine lathes.
- Basic 3 axis computer numerical controlled milling using conversational controllers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and hand sketches.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerance dimensions.
- Inspect parts dimensionally with tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma/GED required.
Experience:
2 years of relevant experience required.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship
