Associate Director of Nursing

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, with weekend rotation

Contract + extensions

• Assures all necessary mandatory education related to fire safety, infection control, resident rights, hazard communication, safety issues, dementia training and policy and procedure are up to date
• Schedules mandatory in‑services on a rotating basis
• Assists in developing, implementing and conducting relevant in‑service training programs and staff‑based competencies
• Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff, following up on work results
• Establishes a positive work environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
• Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests
• Provides staff education & development for new hires and ongoing competencies
• Ensures complete and prompt reporting on incidents with follow up as necessary
• Ensures that significant changes in residents’ condition are communicated to the physician, family or responsible party
• Assist with tracking & administration of staff and resident immunizations

• DON/ADON experience in similar setting required
• RI/Compact RN license required
• BLS required
• At least 3‑5+ years of experience
