Certified Nursing Assistant

Grand Islander RI and V2U, part of Genesis Health Care, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on, resident-centered care in our skilled nursing and rehab facility. The CNA will assist with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort, accurately record and report observations, and support short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory support residents. Working closely with RNs, LPNs, and therapists, you'll help maintain safety, dignity, and quality of life while gaining clinical skills, training, and growth opportunities within Genesis Health Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Measure and record vital signs, intake and output, and other observations accurately
• Support residents with feeding, hydration, and nutritional needs per care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment following infection control protocols
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
• Support short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory support residents with daily activities
• Document care and services provided in electronic or paper records as required
• Promote resident dignity, respect, and choice in all interactions
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to meet care goals
