Unit Manager, RN

Grand Islander RI and V2U, part of Genesis Health Care, seeks a Unit Manager, RN to lead a resident-centered skilled nursing unit in Middletown, RI. In this role, you'll supervise nursing staff, coordinate care plans, oversee clinical quality, and ensure regulatory compliance for short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory support residents. You'll foster a compassionate, team-based culture focused on dignity, safety, and respect while mentoring staff, supporting families, and driving continuous improvement in seniors' comfort, recovery, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a skilled nursing unit, ensuring safe, high-quality resident care
• Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Coordinate and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor resident conditions, administer medications, and ensure accurate clinical documentation
• Support resident- and family-centered communication with empathy and professionalism
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Genesis Health
• Care policies and regulations
• Promote a culture of safety, dignity, and respect for all residents and staff
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs
