The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Middletown, RI. The Technician will install, configure, and test audio and video systems, including home theater setups, wireless audio solutions, and flat panel television installations. Responsibilities include running and terminating cabling, mounting equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring clean, safe, and professional installations. The Technician will collaborate with sales and design teams to interpret project plans, perform site visits, and provide technical input during consultations.
Daily tasks also involve customer education on system use, documenting work performed, and delivering service that reflects Flint Audio Video’s high standards of quality and professionalism.
- Ability to install and configure audio/video equipment, including home theater systems, distributed audio, and flat panel displays.
- Skills in basic low-voltage wiring, cable management, and use of hand and power tools.
- Experience with troubleshooting, testing, and diagnosing technical issues in audio/video systems.
- Competence in reading and following technical diagrams, floor plans, and installation instructions.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to explain system features and support end users.
- Ability to work safely on-site, including lifting equipment, using ladders, and following safety guidelines.
- Relevant experience in audio/video installation, residential or commercial construction, or a related technical field.
- Reliable transportation to Middletown, RI, and flexibility to work full-time schedules, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
