Software Engineer I.
Job Summary: SEACORP’s Combat Systems Business Area is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry‑Level Software Engineer to join our growing team. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that support mission‑critical defense applications. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focused environment.
Job Responsibilities Include- Participates in an Agile development process to produce reliable software solutions for mission‑critical systems.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
- Participates in one or all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure and back‑end development.
- Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and Test Engineers to generate thorough investigations and solutions to problems.
- Is self‑motivated to explore solutions to software issues and can communicate them with the team.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
Experience: At least 0–2 years’ experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
Ideal Skills and Experience- Proven knowledge and experience around object‑oriented programming.
- Experience with C++ and/or Java.
- Candidate should be familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and git.
- Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.
- Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP is preferred.
- Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, or MySQL.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
