We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of HGV Technician - Day shifts, based in Middlewich, Cheshire. This is a strategically important role within a well-established commercial vehicle dealership group, dedicated to delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services for HGVs and trailers.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced HGV Technicians seeking a stable, full-time position with day shifts and excellent career development prospects.

Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers
  • Diagnose faults and perform vehicle testing to identify issues accurately
  • Complete warranty, contract, and retail paperwork efficiently
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce customer costs
  • Follow manufacturer procedures and stay updated with technical advancements
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team to meet operational targets
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing commercial vehicles
  • Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is desirable but not essential
  • Organised with keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team
